Jaap Kuster specialises in both corporate and commercial litigation. His experience includes joint venture disputes, warranty claims, D&O liability, inquiry proceedings, restructurings, disputes regarding distribution agreements, project development, real estate, bankruptcies, complex financial products and cooperation agreements.

Jaap has also been ranked individually in the Chambers Global Guide 2016. Feedback provided by clients includes that Jaap is "a very sharp litigator with an excellent eye for detail," and that they appreciate "his grasp of commercial issues as well as his strategy in setting up our defence."
Jaap graduated from the Radboud University Nijmegen (master business law) and was an exchange student at the Universitat Abat Oliba (Barcelona, Spain). He also attended INSEAD’s MBA Highlights Programme (Fontainebleau, France). Jaap provided lectures at the VU University Amsterdam (Vrije Universiteit) and the University of Leiden and he regularly published articles in various legal magazines.
Prior to founding Biesheuvel Jansen advocaten, Jaap worked in the litigation & arbitration practices of Stibbe and Linklaters.
